Life Cycle Costing: The economical Life Cycle Analysis

A second component in considering sustainability is the evaluation of economic efficiency. LCC is therefore based on a concept that is oriented toward the prognosis, surveying and optimization of the resulting costs. In the forefront is the consideration of the entire system’s life cycle with all of the associated processes.

A LCC therefore enables an integrated evaluation of the costs of a system, because in the process not only the purchasing and manufacturing costs are determined, but also the costs resulting in the operating phase. Targeted potential improvements can be identified in this manner.

Also valid in this area: if the building becomes certified, the LCC evaluation influences the certificate grade and has an effect on the overall result.
